Mortgage Victims Assistance: "Serious about cashing in on the Mortgage Modification Market?"

Lately I've seen many articles about mortgage modification scams.   Since my spam is filtered before I ever get to see it, I thought the mail below was "real", especially since it looks like a response to an email.

To my surprise, it encourages me to CASH IN on the mortgage modification market:

Until the real estate market collapsed, I got all these emails encouraging me to cash in on the BUYING and BORROWING.

I suppose it's considered patriotic to cash in on other peoples' misfortune, but I still find it repulsive.

BTW, the link goes to where they cheerfully offer referral fees,  but I don't know how this relates to closing "the sale."  It sounds like the link was supposed to go to a page where you can BUY their "mortgage assistance" franchise.

But there is also the reference to foreclosure leads, is it for Realtors?

They're selling leads to Realtors?

And just like the people who are now losing their homes PRAISED the real estate and loan agents who got them into those rotten deals, many of the "victims" will thank for screwing them once again.

The Mariner's Revenge Song comes to mind when I think of the people profiting from this scam:

Find him, bind him
Tie him to a pole and break
His fingers to splinters
Drag him to a hole until he
Wakes up naked
Clawing at the ceiling
Of his grave

May they all get what they deserve!

Just because people are desperate, gullible and often downright stupid doesn't give anyone the RIGHT to defraud them.  Yeah, there's lots of OPPORTUNITY, but that doesn't make it right.
